Rapper Kenny Clutch Killed (RIP)

LAS VEGAS (KABC) -- Police said people inside a black Range Rover fired gunshots at a Maserati that then crashed on the Las Vegas strip Thursday. Three people, including rapper Kenny Clutch, were killed and several others were injured.

According to Las Vegas Police, around 4 a.m. Thursday a dispute in the valet area of the Aria Hotel touched off the violence.

At the intersection of Flamingo and Las Vegas boulevards, a passenger in a black Range Rover opened fire on the driver of a Maserati, who then drove through a red light and crashed into a taxi. The taxi burst into flames, trapping and killing the driver and his passenger.

The crash set off a chain-reaction of collisions in the intersection. Four other vehicles were involved. Several people were injured.

Police say the driver of the Maserati, Kenneth Cherry, better known as rapper Kenny Clutch, was killed by the gunfire.

The Range Rover sped from the scene. Police launched a multi-state search for the vehicle. It was described as having dark tinted windows and black rims. It reportedly bore out-of-state dealer license plates.

The Vegas Strip reopened Thursday night. The violence stunned visitors to the famous tourist destination.

"That was insane. I walked out of the hotel this morning and there was like police tape everywhere," said Jared Bates of Ohio.

(Updated) Police have identified a suspect as the driver of the black SUV Range Rover that was involved in the Feb. 21 shootings and resulting multi-car crash on the Las Vegas strip that killed aspiring rapper Kenny Clutch, taxi driver Michael Boldon, and Boldon’s passenger, the Detroit Free Press reported yesterday.

Police are now searching for Ammar Harris, 26, as their prime suspect and getaway driver of the Range Rover, which was discovered abandoned on Saturday.

Autopsies revealed that Kenny Clutch died from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. Michael Boldon and his passenger died from injuries received when Clutch’s car crashed into them after the shooting.

All three deaths have been ruled homicides.

The Range Rover was discovered at an apartment complex only a few blocks away from the Vegas strip where the shootings and car crashes occurred.

The 2012 mugshot police released of Harris was from a previous arrest when the suspect was arrested on “pandering, kidnapping, sexual assault and coercion charges.”

"His location is unknown," police Capt. Chris Jones said of Harris, who sometimes goes by the name Ammar Asim Faruq Harris.

Police say he has been arrested for working as a pimp.

Harris is seen in his mugshot sporting “tattoos on his right cheek and words on his neck above an image that appeared to depict an owl with blackened eyes.”

Police have warned the public that Harris should be considered armed and dangerous.

In addition to Kenny Clutch being killed in that Feb. 21 shooting, a passenger in Clutch’s car was also wounded but survived. Clutch’s passenger has been cooperating with the Las Vegas Police throughout their investigation.

Miami Rapper "LIL RIP" takes you thru Miami's Infamous "27 Avenue"

Opa locka's "Lil Ripsta" takes you thru a Miami tour you probably haven't been on...
On the Notorious 27 Ave, where trouble runs all up that avenue from sw 8th st.(Calle Ocho) all tha way up north past , Allapattah, Liberty City, Brownsubs, Opa Locka, Miami Gardens, Carol City & Tha Rest of tha hoods. from 27 ave & 17ave them Miami streets infamous'

a lil bout Lil Rip if you aint heard of him.....

Hailing from Miami’s infamous Opa-Locka, Lil Rip is one of the South’s fastest rising street artists with an aggressive flow and take no shit attitude. Since linking with Southern powerhouse County Bound Records, Lil Rip has been tearing up mixtapes, radio waves, and stages since 2004 and is now getting his long deserved major moment with the upcoming release of his debut album, Authentic.
27 year old Rip was born into the almost terroristic streets of Opa Locka, to a single mother who had 9 other children to care for.  Seeing violence and strife was a daily way of life when Rip was coming up in 21 Jump Street, the local name for his section. “Yeah coming up times was hard, seeing my mom’s struggle. Just ordinary hood shit ya know.”
As early as he can remember  Rip began channeling this pain and aggression into music. Inspired by artists such as Tupac and Scarface, Lil’ Rip developed his own rapid fire style of as he puts it “straight gangsta shit”.  To hear Rip on a track is the equivalent of seeing an AK-47 being put to good use. It’s straight murder. He tears through pounding beats with an almost wide eyed bloody mouthed abandon, telling tales of street life and what he’s gonna do to you if you cross the Authentic. “I don’t play no games. Ima’ do my thang how I wanna do my thang in a respectable manner. I’m comin aggressive.”
This explosive style quickly caught the ears of County Bound Records CEO DJ Haze and Rip signed with the label dropping his first solo mixtape project (2013), In Loving Memory of Tha Game -Murktape-.  Rip followed that up with three other mixtapes, which all did big numbers in the south as well as garnering radio play and show bookings. However now is time for his true story to be told with the release of Authentic, his debut album. Rip says this album is him, through and through, raw and uncut. “I put my heart and soul into this one. This the way I’ma be and the way I’ma die. Authentic”
Although his music is at times an audio horror story, Rip says that his main message is to stay true to yourself. That’s the real meaning of Authentic and cites his family as his biggest inspiration as well as building his own budding record label Tombstone Records. The strong will survive and Rip has already been through the street’s battlefields and has the war wounds and bullet scars to show it. Now it’s time for him to earn his soldier stripes in the music field. Salute the Authentic.

[UPDATED]Miami Rapper Young Scrilla, Injured During Drive-By Shooting

Aspiring Miami rapper Young Scrilla was transported to the hospital over the weekend after being shot in the thigh during a video shoot.

View more videos at: http://nbcmiami.com.
Deadly gunplay in the streets of Miami-Dade over the weekend kept police busy and a community apprehensive. The bloody 48 hours left at least three teenagers shot, two of them dead in drive-by shootings.
Other victims include Miami’s hometown rap artist Andre Scott, who performs as Young Scrilla.
Scott said he was at the wheel of an idling 750 BMW in Overtown Saturday afternoon when a car rolled up next to him and opened fire, shooting him in the right leg.
“There were two AK-47s for sure – and a handgun,’’ said Scott, a 29-year-old local performer who was en route with an entourage that was involved in shooting scenes for a rap video. “I don’t have any idea who would do this. The crazy thing is, I don’t have any enemies.’’
Miami Police provided scant information on the series of shootings.
This much is known, according to police:
Two other men with Scott also were wounded by gunfire in the incident at Northwest 19th Street and Third Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Another shooting, a little over an hour earlier had more deadly consequences.
Around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, 16-year-old Marquis Bruson was gunned down near Northwest 13th Place and 62nd Street.
Bruson was rushed to the hospital, but later died.
On Sunday, the mayhem continued. Another drive-by shooting happened 10:38 a.m. Sunday, according to Miami Herald news partner WFOR CBS4. The shooting, which occurred at 4426 NW 23rd Ct. in unincorporated Miami-Dade, took the life of 16-year-old Dante Vilet, according to relatives.
The hail of bullets in the streets continued into the beginning of the work week.
Around 7 a.m. Monday, Miami Fire Rescue rushed a 17-year-old to a nearby hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Police cordoned off the area near Northwest Fifth Avenue and 44th Street.
A bloody rag lay in the street next to the tire of a Ford sports utility vehicle.
According to CBS4, the victim, Juan Videa, was shot in the stomach while waiting for a school bus. He was in critical but stable condition late Monday at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho told CBS4: “What is good is that I just saw the young man open his eyes for the first time.”
“What is not good is that this has been happening more times than I can count,” said Carvalho. “This is been one of the bloodiest weeks in history for our children here in Miami-Dade.’’
Carvalho said Miami-Dade has had seven shootings since last Wednesday.
Miami Police Sgt. Freddie Cruz, a department spokesman, declined to comment on news reports that an AK-47 assault rifle was used in Monday morning shooting and would not confirm the name of the victim.
“Homicide doesn’t know if he was the intended target,’’ Cruz said.
Long-time Miami community activist Georgia Ayers said Monday she has long been pushing community leaders to work together to deter youth violence, in particular for alliances of parents, police and ministers.
“I turned guns in three times for my son,’’ said Ayers, an outspoken community leader.
Meanwhile, Scott was propped up in a hospital bed Monday with an IV line running following surgery on his knee.
Scott said he was making a cameo appearance in a video of Atlanta hip-hop performer Rocko.
After wrapping up a scene in Overtown, the group was moving on to another filming location, Scott said.
“There was no negative energy. Everybody was on a positive note.’’
Scott said he stopped the big BMW so that others could catch up with the entourage, when he in his rear-view mirror he saw a car coming up along the driver’s side. “I didn’t think anything of it.’’
Next thing he knew, he said, he was staring at automatic weapons.
“Everything just slowed down,’’ said Scott.

One of the most violent, sophisticated gangs in Central Florida — responsible for hundreds of crimes including homicides, drug trafficking and identity theft — was dismantled Wednesday with the arrests of nearly two dozen members.

Local, state and federal authorities built a racketeering case against 33 members of the Bloods and local sets of the street gang, including the Mohawk Boys, the Bullet Boys, the Fly Goons Lumberjacks and the Marlin Boys.

Law-enforcement became aware of the violent gangs in 2006, and since then, have linked members to a range of crimes including the recent shooting of 15-year-old Danielle Sampson, who was struck in the head by a stray bullet while riding in her family’s minivan.

Authorities said the suspected shooter, gang member Tyrone Mosby, was fleeing a burglary at a drug house at the time.

“There’s no question that our community will be safer,” Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said of the arrests.

The investigation, which involves the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the FBI, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and multiple sheriff’s and police departments, is ongoing. Twelve members remain wanted by authorities.

Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation Director Larry Zwieg said there is no end to the type of crimes the gang members committed through the years.

“The crimes were all over the map,” he said.

That includes traditional drug sales, such as cocaine, but the group also expanded into the prescription-drug trafficking market.

The center of the investigation, dubbed “Operation Strong Arm,” is Jabarus "ARMSTRONG" Nathan, identified by MBI as the leader of the organization.

Nathan, a local rap artist who records under the “Fly Boy Moses Law Entertainment” label, has an extensive criminal history including dozens of felony arrests.

Other high-ranking members of the gang who were charged include: Justin Dickson, Santana Sutton Sr., Lincoln Granston, Colin Wilson, Santana Sutton Jr., and Travis Jackson.

More than a dozen firearms and cocaine were seized in the case.

Trick Daddy responds back 2 Lil Wayne's Bitch Fit

Lil Wayne's anti-Miami rant that took place has rubbed many of the city's rap luminaries the wrong way including Uncle Luke and now Trick Daddy.
The mayor of the 305 spoke to 99 Jamz in Miami to stick up for his city and call for more unity from native Floridians. This comes in wake of Weezy exclaiming that he slept with the wife of Heat forward, Chris Bosh, and repeatedly screaming "f**k the Miami Heat." "If nobody likes it, they can die tonight.

I don't care who gets offended by what I say, I rep my city and I don't care who disrespects it. When they lease is up, they can leave," said the Miami rep. "We have to stick together as radio, as artists, as DJs and as fans of the music as a whole." Luther Campbell originally spoke out against Wayne's comments and called for local Miami artists and DJs to take a stand against people talking ill of their city. Trick echoed his statements. "Me and Luke been talking and we're going to get together and figure out some type of way to get this thing back on the road. We're going to get songs that need to get played on the radio and get played in the clubs," says the Slip-N-Slide founder. "We came up in a city, that we lived through three, four or five hurricanes and two major riots. I can't go nowhere else, this my home."

C-Murder Denied Appeal! FREE C-MURDER!!!

The court on Tuesday rejected the appeal of the rapper known as C-Murder, who is serving a life sentence for killing a 16-year-old fan in Louisiana. A jury voted 10-2 to convict the rapper, whose real name is Corey Miller.
Louisiana and Oregon are the only two states that allow for non-unanimous convictions for some crimes.
The justices recently have rejected similar appeals asking them to treat state and federal trials equally. Decisions involving gun rights and other issues generally require states to extend the same constitutional rights as the federal government.

Young Jeezy vs. Kinky B

Young Jeezy is a rap superstar ... so when some guy in Georgia sued him for MILLIONS -- claiming he's entitled to half Jeezy's budding empire -- the rapper had four words ... WHAT YOU TALKIN' BOUT???? Jeezy was sued last year for $5 million by a man named Ellerbee "Kinky B" Demetrius, who claimed he helped make Jeezy's career and is now owed money from at least 4 of his albums, including  "The Inspiration" and "The Recession" ... both of which went platinum.

Ellerbee claims he has been best buds with Jeezy since 1995 and after meeting him at boot camp, the two formed a couple of record companies together, released a few mix-tapes, and spent their time nurturing Jeezy's career.

Not only that, Ellerbee says when Jeezy hit the big time with Def Jam, he executive produced those studio albums.

The problem ... Jeezy says Ellerbee is FULL OF S**T.

In fact, in recently filed legal docs ... Jeezy denies being Ellerbee's best friend (sad), denies forming ANY music companies with him -- and says he 100% NEVER entered into any agreements (written or oral) to share HALF his profits.

RIP Twelve A' Klok
Twelve A' Klok (Argell White) considered himself one of the founding members of the Cut Throat Committy record label. The group's most famous founder was White's cousin, renowned rapper James "Soulja Slim" Tapp, who is believed to have been the victim of a $10,000 hit in 2003 that played out on the lawn of Tapp's mother's home just as he appeared poised for mainstream stardom. White weathered serious run-ins with the judicial system during his life. He spent several years in prison after pleading guilty to an armed robbery in 1991. Almost a year to the day before his death, White was named a person of interest in the mysterious disappearance and death of an aspiring rapper who he had apparently argued with. [MIAMI] Officers in shooting standoff with multiple suspects

Police were searching a neighborhood with K-9 units in West Kendall for three men – who are likely armed – after shots were fired at police and then a home ablaze on Tuesday during a narcotics investigation, authorities said. Police set up a perimeter from Miller Drive to 64th Avenue and from SW 142nd Avenue to SW 157th Avenue. They were warning all residents to stay in doors because the men were considered to be likely armed and dangerous. Police said it wasn't immediately clear if all of the men shot at police, but the incident began at 15415 SW 57th St., when narcotics units were investigating a possible grow house at the address. The suspects began firing at the officers, and police retreated for cover. At some point they went inside and the home erupted into flames. It was not known if the men were still inside the home or somewhere in the neighborhood, police said. A source said the three men wanted for questioning in the shooting are Dell Di’Giovanni, 50, Michael Di’Giovanni, 27, and Brian Howell, 29. "It sounded like the world was ending because everyone was panicking. ’Cause everyone heard the shooting,” said Rodrigo Ruez, who was minutes away from his home when he heard the gunshots. Ruez said what he heard sounded like automatic guns and backup fire. Smoke billowed out of the burning home, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel were in the area and ready to move in at a moment's notice. Footage of the crazy scene in Miami WSVN-TV -
